About the Game
Tic Tac Toe is the timeless two-player strategy game played on a 3 × 3 grid. Players take turns placing their symbol — traditionally X and O — and the first to claim three in a row, column, or diagonal wins. Beneath its simple surface lies a complete game tree that rewards reading your opponent and planning two moves ahead.
One of the oldest abstract strategy games in existence, Tic Tac Toe has been played for thousands of years across countless cultures. The digital version adds smart AI opponents and local two-player mode — now coming to GameZone as a free browser game with no download or account required.

Game Mechanics
Two players alternate placing their symbol on any empty cell of the 3 × 3 grid. The game ends as soon as one player achieves three of their symbols in an unbroken horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. If all nine cells are filled without either player achieving three in a row, the round is a draw.
With perfect play from both sides the game always ends in a draw — so the real contest is catching the opponent's mistake before they catch yours. Against the hardest AI level, every position is played optimally, making it an excellent way to study the full game tree.
